My daughter (16) just came out to us as non-binary. I do understand that they do not particularly identify with any conventional gender, but I just wanted to know do they count as being part of the trans community?
We live in quite a conservative town and we'd like for them to get some support. I've come online and found this website which I think has a pretty sweet set up and groups for my daughter to join. I just wanted to know if they'd be accepted here? I know they already get weird looks from the Karens in our neighbourhood. I don't want them to be bullied even more online.
Thank you!
James
Hi James! Non-binary people are definitely accepted here! The Trans community refers to anyone who isn't cis (people who identify with their birth gender). So your child will definitely be welcome here!
Trans Edu is super inclusive and we'd love for them to join one of our Trans Support Groups!
